‘Tis the Season for DC’s Downtown Holiday Market!

DC Holiday Market ‘Tis the Season for DC’s Downtown Holiday Market! The holiday season and shopping have officially begun.  You may be having the usual holiday dilemma when looking at the long list of gifts you need to find for your family and friends.  Finding something unique for your loved ones can often be a challenge, especially when you only consider ideas from the usual retail stores.  This year, how about searching somewhere a bit different for many merry gift ideas.  The perfect place to start is at DC’s 6th annual Downtown Holiday Market.

Located on the F Street sidewalk in front of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the National Portrait Gallery between 7th and 9th Streets NW, the Downtown Holiday Market in DC runs December 3 through December 23.  From noon to 8pm daily you will find 50 vendors with distinctive gift items from pottery to textiles to jewelry and more (exhibitors vary daily so check the website if you are looking for someone specific).  You will even find some of your favorite vendors from DC’s historic Eastern Market.

The Holiday Market is like a festive Eastern Market (which we all know and love).  While shopping in the cool winter weather, warm up while enjoying some hot cider and listening to some holiday entertainment.

You are sure to find something special for somebody special, at the very least something for yourself.  Let your holiday shopping begin somewhere other than the mall!
