Fall is fashion filled and it is here! The 2011 Fall District Sample Sale is scheduled for Monday, September 26 (1919 M Street NW, Washington, DC) and tickets are on sale as of today. General admission is $40 and includes shopping from 6:30-9:00pm with cocktails and apps. VIP tickets are $100, which is worth it for the extra hour of shopping before doors open to all, drinks and snacks and a VIP goodie bag. This bi-annual special shopping event is not just about what you get, but also about what you give for what you get. All proceeds for the fall sale go to WEAVE: Women Empowered Against Violence. WEAVE, a DC based charity, focuses on ending intimate partner abuse and other forms of gender-based violence by empowering, innovative and holistic services.
The DSS brings together more than 20 of our favorite local boutiques to sell end-of-season stock at really reduced prices. Just some of these shops include Belina Boutique, Fornash, Ginger, Sassanova, The Shoe Hive, Urban Chic and Wink. DSS also features cocktails, hors d’oeuvres from participating restaurants, a fashion-focused silent auction, raffle, goodie bag (with VIP tickets) and more.
