Beyonce has been performing in the flashy custom costumes created by her mother for years, but as she has grown her style has progressed as well. In the last couple of years Beyonce has joined the team and has become my funky and fearless fashion icon. With curves that any real woman can relate to, Beyonce takes style to the extreme in subtle ways. We all know she can rock any gown on the red carpet, but her casual style is a mix of now trends that go together so well. These trends are done her way with her signature to the sky heels and bold accessories that can not be missed.
Not only do we sing her songs and copy her moves, but we wear our Deron jeans and copy her look to the best of our ability. I have grown up listening to Beyonce starting with Destiny’s Child back in the day to her breakaway solo career that keeps getting better, including music for the masses, an uber successful fashion line and a fragrance that I hope I am woman enough to wear. I have a true respect for all aspects of her career and style that it is hard to keep for that many years with most celebrities.
So, Beyonce, stay bold, stay brave and stay you. We love you then, now and forever!

East Coast Chic (ECC) began as a fashion blog in 2010. I created ECC because the diversity of style on the East Coast is inspirational and endless. ECC allows me to share my favorite fashion thoughts and spots from my headquarters in Washington, DC, as well as other trend setting states along the East Coast and beyond.
