Start your weekend in a stylish way this Friday, August 26 with a fashion and art collaboration catwalk on Connecticut Avenue. CARBON Boutique (2643 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington DC) and International Visions Gallery (2629 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington DC) join forces for the Artisan Series kick off reception (6-9pm) and the first sidewalk runway show (starting at 7pm).
This creative outdoor catwalk will run between the boutique and gallery located across the street from the Adams Morgan/Woodley Park metro stop. Models will wear fashions from CARBON’s local and green emerging designers (including CeciG, Diamantina, JEM, Kim Schalk, Melissa Lew Jewelry, SAINTCHIC, Yb Green and more) while walking with original works from the International Visions’ collection.
The event is the start of the second annual Artisan Series inspired by Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation sponsored by Bombay Sapphire, as well as the kick off of International Visions annual summer art sale. Visit both venues before and after the show for drinks, dressing and decor.

East Coast Chic (ECC) began as a fashion blog in 2010. I created ECC because the diversity of style on the East Coast is inspirational and endless. ECC allows me to share my favorite fashion thoughts and spots from my headquarters in Washington, DC, as well as other trend setting states along the East Coast and beyond.
