East Coast Chic spent last Friday evening backstage assisting with the CARBON (2643 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington DC) and International Visions Gallery (2629 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington DC) Fashion Meets Art Runway Show. The receptions and show were the kick off to the second annual Artisan Series inspired by Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation sponsored by Bombay Sapphire, as well as the start to International Visions annual summer art sale.
The show started with 10 looks from several favorite and local lines carried by CARBON including SAINTCHIC, a.d.o clothing, God Help Miss Agnes, Body Bark and Aidah Collection (new to the CARBON fashion family). The final 10 styles highlighted the signature scarves of JEM created by local designer Jennifer Miller. The handmade scarves in tie-dye tones and new standout shades for fall made a major statement on the runway worn from the classic and cozy around the neck wrap to super sexy tops.
If you missed the show you can still see what the excitement is all about in these backstage pics below. Also, get to CARBON now to shop the amazing designs that walked the streets last week and so many more sustainable styles.

East Coast Chic (ECC) began as a fashion blog in 2010. I created ECC because the diversity of style on the East Coast is inspirational and endless. ECC allows me to share my favorite fashion thoughts and spots from my headquarters in Washington, DC, as well as other trend setting states along the East Coast and beyond.
