Going green is a process that can sometimes seem a bit challenging at first, but always well worth it. Eco-fashion is an exciting and easy way to start or continue to minimize your carbon footprint. CARBON Boutique offers shoppers “sustainable chic” clothing that will make you feel fashion forward, as well as environmentally friendly. From accessories to clothing to handbags to shoes, all of the products available are made using ethical methods and materials while remaining accessible to those who want to participate in this important endeavor.
CARBON Boutique is celebrating spring with a fashion filled evening on Saturday, April 9 from 6-8pm. Come to CARBON, located at 2643 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20008 for live music, snacks from Sweets by Johnnie and, of course, sustainable shopping! Spring is not the only reason to celebrate on Saturday. The event also commemorates new ownership of CARBON by Katherine Limon. Katherine has been a wardrobe consultant and personal shopper who has been dressing her DC and other clients in eco-friendly fashion for years. Joining the retail world with fresh ideas, Katherine has expanded the men’s and women’s shoe collection to include sustainable clothing, accessories and handbags and carries many local designers in the shop.
Join Katherine and CARBON’s cause and get your green on with environmentally friendly fashion. Following the event will be an after-party at Café Paradiso Restaurant (2649 Connecticut Ave., NW) at 8 p.m. RSVP at Katherine@carbondc.com

East Coast Chic (ECC) began as a fashion blog in 2010. I created ECC because the diversity of style on the East Coast is inspirational and endless. ECC allows me to share my favorite fashion thoughts and spots from my headquarters in Washington, DC, as well as other trend setting states along the East Coast and beyond.
