We know Coach now for their all-over signature C print in neutral and bright colors, but Coach is going back to its roots with five favorite styles that made the brand a star in the ‘70s. For a limited time Coach teams up with Net-A-Porter.com to sell the classic leather handbags in several styles including the duffle bucket bag, field bag, shoulder bag both large or small and the Madison tote (my absolute favorite). The bags come in the necessary neutral colors like black, brown or tan and a special shoulder bag in just the right color red makes the collection more memorable. Coach is an affordable luxury brand, so you can own the born-again bags for $300 to $500.
If the updated price for an old-school style is still too much for you, here is another option. These classics are staples at flea markets for a much more nostalgic-like price. I’ve seen some selection of these designs at Eastern Market in the District, a wide variety at Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market in NYC and even more online at eBay or Etsy. The range is much more reasonable than retail with prices under $100 and sometimes as low as $20. If you really want to flaunt the classics, you can’t go wrong with a gently-loved original. Besides we all know leather is better broken in.

East Coast Chic (ECC) began as a fashion blog in 2010. I created ECC because the diversity of style on the East Coast is inspirational and endless. ECC allows me to share my favorite fashion thoughts and spots from my headquarters in Washington, DC, as well as other trend setting states along the East Coast and beyond.
