CARBON Boutique in DC’s Woodley Park neighborhood (2643 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC) will roll out its “green” runway this Friday, September 23, 2011 (6-8pm – show starts at 7pm) to spotlight the fall eco-collection of women’s ready to wear clothing by a.d.o. clothing and vegan shoe label, Neuaura. The collections will appeal to the Metropolitan professional woman interested in fashion that is chic, comfortable and constructed in a caring way for environment. Also meet the designers of both lines – New York-based eco-fashion and shoe designers Anjelika Krishna, of a.d.o. clothing and Arti Upadhyay, of Neuaura. Watch and shop the eco-friendly lines on the runway while you enjoy vegan treats throughout the evening.
CARBON has also invited their friends from The Ocean Foundation to help celebrate the new fall fashion! Our oceans give us so much, while we continue to take from them at an unsustainable rate. This Friday, speak to a representative from The Ocean Foundation to learn about many of the innovative approaches their community of donors, projects and grantees are implementing to improve ocean conservation and find out how you can be a part of the solution. A donation of $10 to $20 is suggested. Give even more by purchasing $2 raffle tickets for a chance to win a pair of Neuaura shoes. All money raised will benefit The Ocean Foundation.

East Coast Chic (ECC) began as a fashion blog in 2010. I created ECC because the diversity of style on the East Coast is inspirational and endless. ECC allows me to share my favorite fashion thoughts and spots from my headquarters in Washington, DC, as well as other trend setting states along the East Coast and beyond.
