In a recent issue of Us Weekly I found Eva Mendes on the worst dress list…what? First of all, this should never happen. Eva is one of the best dressed stars today. Funny thing is I had actually seen this same photo on InStyle’s Look of the Day (which is littered with Eva in numerous sensational pieces) and saved it so I could post about how fabulous I thought the style choice was. So in my opinion, Us Weekly got it wrong with this worst dressed pick.
This brilliant blue snake skin print dress is spot on. I think the high neck tie gives the piece an old school sense of class. While the top creates a sophisticated feel, the skirt is short enough to make the look a bit sultry by showing off her finely toned legs. Being covered up like Eva is on top with the long sleeves and high neck actually creates a strong sense of sexy that most people miss at first glance. Remember, showing skin alone does not make one sexy.
The color of the dress is striking next to Eva’s unbelievable skin tone and the nude heels keep the attention on the distinctive dress. Eva’s style is consistently chic and her unique look only adds the sophistication of everything she wears. Diversity is a beautiful thing!
So while Us thinks Eva is a worst dressed offender, I think she best dressed forever.
