Fall Fashion Week is this week and it starts with something for everyone with the 2nd annual Fashion’s Night Out on Friday, September 10, 2010 presented by Vogue. Fashion’s Night Out is a worldwide party to celebrate fashion and where better to celebrate than in the fashion capitol New York City, which is where I’ll be! I previously posted about spots to find awesome events at affordable retailers. Well, here are other events you don’t want to miss. Two major reality style stars will be on location to see fans and give coveted style advice:
Piperlime with Rachel Zoe (93 Mercer Street New York NY 10012)
Piperlime is a fantastic website with a great fashion forward selection. But from 6-11pm Piperlime will have a pop-up store in SOHO for you to shop their online inventory in person and you will receive a free gift with any purchase (while supplies last of course). What is even better is that stylish stylist and Bravo reality star Rachel Zoe will be onsite to show off her Piperlime picks and give you personal style advice. Wait, it gets better. The cast of Project Runway will be there for sigs and a photo op!
Kate Spade with Tim Gunn (454 Broome Street New York NY 10013)
Tim Gunn, co-host of project runway and chief creative office of Liz Claiborne inc, will be signing copies of his new book Gunn’s Golden Rules: Life’s Little Lessons for Making It Work. Tim and Deborah Lloyd, Creative Director of Kate Spade New York, will judge window designs created by contestants inspired by Tim’s new book. Enjoy the displays while sipping a gin and tonic and leave with a limited-edition FNO cosmetic case.
FNO allows anyone who loves fashion to celebrate the industry in a big way. So take some time to plan your 9/10 night and find many other amazing events you won’t want to miss!

East Coast Chic (ECC) began as a fashion blog in 2010. I created ECC because the diversity of style on the East Coast is inspirational and endless. ECC allows me to share my favorite fashion thoughts and spots from my headquarters in Washington, DC, as well as other trend setting states along the East Coast and beyond.
