August is my birthday month, so I have been doing a little reflecting (which we should all do now and again). Reflecting on life as a whole, where I am at and where I want to go from here. One thing I realize is that becoming older is not the curse it used to be because of the era in which I am growing up in.
I am so proud to be living in a time when 40 is the new 20, 50 is the new 30 and so on. I believe that with age comes knowledge, with knowledge comes sophistication and with sophistication comes poise and power. I admire the beauty of this sophisticated presence that comes from women as they mature and are at ease with who they have become.
So while many of you may want to drink from the fountain of youth, ask yourselves why. Because right now we live in a place and time where women seem to only get better with age. Be proud of what you have accomplished thus far in your life and know that there is so much more ahead. Personally, I am excited to say that nothing could please me more than being one year better. Happy Birthday to everyone this year! You are one year older, one year wiser, and one year sexier!
