It’s All About Art Deco for Spring Accessories

We are bringing art deco accessories back this season with geometric shapes and streamline patterns.  My must find this spring is a vintage art deco rhinestone necklace.  The look of draping bold rhinestone designs around your neck in a casual setting is very reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw in season 6 of Sex and the City when she dated the Russian.

You need to make the elaborate rhinestone necklace the center piece of your outfit or it may come across as tacky.  Tacky is a fine fit when worn with exactly the right pieces.  Try with relaxed fabrics like cotton and wool.  Also, wear with low necklines like a deep v to draw attention to the necklace and your fabulous collar bone.  Wear your rhinestone find with a light tee, simple v-neck sweater or button-up top.  With a white collared shirt unbuttoned a bit lower than usual your rhinestones would be nothing less than simply classy and gorgeously gaudy.  Stay away from sparkles with your stones as it may seem overwhelming.  Stand out accessories carry an outfit far on their own with little help needed so keep everything else more modest.  Also try rhinestone earrings with the same type of ensembles for a similar look, but never wear your rhinestone together.

Find an assortment of flashy vintage rhinestone pieces in all sorts of sizes, shapes and even colors on eBay or Etsy ranging from super affordable to just a bit more.  Search art deco rhinestone necklace and the choices that appear are endless.
