Much like the myth about wearing white after Labor Day, the skeleton trend has made it fashionable to wear skulls and such outside of October. These spooky sights don’t need to be costume like either and can actually be very chic if done properly. I’ve found the following fleshless fashion (all on eBay) that I’m totally into and want to share:
Alexander McQueen Skull Scarf – I have found these in varying colors on eBay for a very reasonable price. Pick a color you love or stick with the multi-colored skulls to wear with anything. I love tough accessories with classic pieces like a white button up or just tees and jeans.
Rhinestone Skull Earrings – These are a fancy way to wear this scary symbol. Also found on eBay you can get the earrings for less than $10 with shipping included. The rhinestones can be plain white or mixed with other eye catching colors like red and black if you want the skulls command attention. These skull earrings even come in an all-over pretty pastel option. Wear with solids in a funky cut to make the outfit trendy, but let the silhouette and skulls to the talking.
Wildfox Couture Skeleton Top – I love the unexpected tees and tops from Wildfox Couture. May fav are the skeleton silhouette tees which include the rib cage and the sweatshirts, which also show the arm bones (I’m obviously no good at anatomy). The skeleton screen print is not super obnoxious and if paired with cut offs and flats, how cute on a summer day! Wildfox also has other skull options and surprisingly cute dancing skeleton tops available. Find on eBay or, for more options, try Google Shopping.
Skeletons don’t have to be scary or tacky for that matter. Check out the above skeleton selection to try this trend any time of year.
