The one-piece I want to own this summer is a jumpsuit! Jumpsuits are all the rage this season and I am on the hunt for one of my own. Sauntering through the streets on a crisp summer evening all wrapped up in a jumpsuit will give off a real sleek and sexy vibe. But the vibe will only come if you have the jumpsuit just right to sell your saunter.
Finding the appropriate proportions when selecting a jumpsuit is what will make or break this trend on you. Be sure your waist is accentuated at the most slim spot. Most jumpsuits have a clearly defined waist, but not all of them have the defined waist in the right place for you. Emphasizing your waste will make your top look super slim, as well as add drama by draping the lingering fabric over your fine behind creating incredible curves and a lovely, long leg line.
As for color, a dark solid is a way to make a today trend a bit more classic, which will allow it to transition into a future season. If you are bold enough to sport a jumpsuit with a pattern, try a large, dramatic print. A jumpsuit with a small, all-over pattern from head to toe could be a bit overwhelming. This is a trend that speaks for itself, so you don’t want to over do it.
While a jumpsuit is what is on my mind at this moment, don’t forget about other one-piece wonders that are back in action this season. Get out there and find yourself a romper or even overalls (short or long overalls are both adorable). So make getting dressed this season as simple as one-piece… two… three!
