Keep it Classic with Camel

camel coat maxmara runway Keep it Classic with CamelMy love for neutrals is apparent in my wardrobe and while I preach to be adventurous with your style I will still always buy a great piece in a classic color over current trends.  This is for a couple of reasons: you can wear neutrals with everything (even each other), neutrals never ever go out of style and neutrals always make you look sophisticated.

While I love crisp black, rich brown and nautical navy, my favorite for staple pieces is classic camel.  This fall we saw all the fashion magazines spotlight the camel color for fancy outerwear, oversized handbags and boots.  Camel has never been out of style, but the fact that it is being recognized this season brings it back to life.

Try camel for quality pieces that you plan to have for a long time and don’t be afraid to spend a bit more on these items.  Think about your cost per wear and determine if it is worth it to you.  I guarantee quality clothing or accessory you purchase in a classic color like this can and will be worn forever.  Also, you could try a new style coat, bag or boots to keep things trendy, like instead of a wool winter coat try a fitted leather jacket or instead of an expected oversized bag do a small over-the-shoulder bag for going out.  This classic color makes any trend last many seasons to come.

This fall, add a new neutral to the mix with camel for all your warm weather pieces.  The classic color will remain relevant as the seasons continue to change.
