Let’s Bring the Fanny Pack Back!

Females often carry their whole lives in their handbag, even when it may not be necessary.  Some casual weekend activities, however, like going to a farmers market or shopping may not require all that extra stuff.  There is a solution that takes us back to scenes of Sex in the City when Carrie Bradshaw (who else!?) sported a sleek Gucci fanny pack.  Carrie brings the fanny pack back in a fashion forward way and so can you. However, you must be strategic with this style because it could go real wrong real easily.

There are some designer fanny options out there that will do the job perfectly, but are also a bit more spendy.  Here is a so fun, sparkly fanny that will hold only what you need.  The Sequin Fanny Pack in animal print zebra, leopard, tiger, stars and more available on eBay ($23.95 plus shipping).  The sequins and funky print should be worn with something very, very casual.  For now, use to belt a plain black maxi or with jeans/cutoffs and a loose tee or oxford shirt and wear into fall with a dark plaid and skinny jeans or for belting an oversized knit dress/top.

If this is to fanny like for you, try something sleeker like the ASOS Fantasy Leather Leopard Purse Belt ($34.48) or New York & Company’s Wallet Belt in black brown ($16.06 on sale).  The small hip bag attached to a chic matching slim belt is less of a blast from the past, but the concept remains the same.
