Many celebs and stars have spent the last few days viewing runways shows of the most major designers at New York Fashion Week, but the catwalk is not the only place to find fashion at the Lincoln Center. The fashion fanatics form a stylish show of their own right outside the NYC style nucleus. Some of the season’s hottest trends can be found on the streets worn by the real people who create their own looks from what the designers just inside deliver.
Ladies and gents both held their own in fabulous frocks and fierce extras. Paired solids popped on the pavement with tops and bottoms from the same color family and while others made two prints work as one. Shoes also made a statement from flats to stilettos in staple neutrals to fierce shades and basic, yet bold accessories where everywhere. The style didn’t stop with the clothes though. There were blunt bangs, green and red lips and relaxed locks. Check some of the social stylist in the pictures below:
Selita Ebanks is all business in heavy tweed pants softened for early fall weather in a bright color with a flowy top.
Here fashion flowed from the Lincoln Center following the wrap of a show. A real fashionista is put together from front to back.
This cute couple thought they were watching the chic people, but her mixed prints and his casual ensemble suggested an unstated style.
This sweet skirt swoops up in front just like those in the Jason Wu collection shown on September 10 and the DKNY collection shown on September 11.
Denim on denim on denim (coat in hand) is super chic with a ‘70s vibe that is so in right now.
Steal or splurge? ECC posts about the affordable Jeffrey Campbell slingbacks wedges vs. the wedges by Chris Benz x Alejandro Ingelmo. Either way they are amazing!

East Coast Chic (ECC) began as a fashion blog in 2010. I created ECC because the diversity of style on the East Coast is inspirational and endless. ECC allows me to share my favorite fashion thoughts and spots from my headquarters in Washington, DC, as well as other trend setting states along the East Coast and beyond.
