Michelle Obama: Fashionable First Lady

It is only natural that, living in the Nation’s Capitol, that Michelle Obama be on my list of fashion icons.  Not simply because of where I live, but because she has proven to be memorable in the fashion world in such a short period of time.  On the campaign trail, Michelle created a buzz with her ever so poised personality and her innovative ensembles.  Now the First Lady has become the Jackie O. of the 21^st century, but with a twist.

The First Lady’s style is a made up of a variety of classic pieces revamped like colorful, patterned sheath dresses and pearls in all shapes and sizes.  Michelle shows us that you can dress affordably and still look amazing by wearing brands like J. Crew and Banana Republic.  We can also see that Michelle appreciates fine design.  Any designer she wears becomes a household name and she wears them all so well.  Designer’s dream of dressing this fast track fashion icon who has stolen our hearts with her signature sense style, as well as her class and charisma.

She’s got the custom curves all girls dream of and the height that we all envy.  Michelle is a powerful woman who holds her own in a place where politics rules (which is not easy to do).  But she is also a real woman who wears clothes more than once and shows us that you can be casual and still be chic. Michelle is an inspiration to all women and I can’t wait to see what she does and what she wears next.
