Rent The Runway’s CEO Speaks Style with ECC!

RTRLWR Rent The Runway’s CEO Speaks Style with ECC!For someone focused on affordable fashion, Rent The Runway is a spot on style sensation.  RTR allows anyone to experience designer clothes for a fraction of the cost.  The theory is flawless. You have a special event, but don’t want to spend so much on something you will wear for a limited time.  Why not rent!  Men have done this with tuxes for years.  Fortunately, this is now an option for women thanks to co-founders Jenny Fleis (President) and Jenn Hyman (CEO) of RTR.  Jenn Hyman took some time out of her fashion filled Friday to speak with ECC!

Jenn began by explaining how the thought of RTR came to her.  Like many women have encountered, she was with her sister who had a closet for of clothes and nothing to wear.  Jenn felt this idea was a simple solution to the growing pressures women face to constantly wear something new and something now.

Before RTR, Jenn worked in an industry where she enabled women to have an emotional experience, so RTR seemed like an appropriate next step.  Jenn and Jenny moved forward with this same thought in mind, to create a special experience for women.  Jenn said that since the launch of RTR, the vision of the company has continued to blossom from purely providing value to delivering that Cinderella moment.

Jenn was not only kind enough to share the RTR story, but also dished on her own style.  She is a city girl who likes a rock-n-roll look with an added touch of femininity.  Some of her designers of choice include Helmut Lang, Matthew Williamson and Proenza Schouler.

Feeling confident about what you are wearing makes all the difference in any setting.  RTR is not just about the clothes.  There is truly a meaning behind Jenn and Jenny’s mission.  Sign up for RTR now and rent away for any occasion or just get the style sheets sent to you to stay tuned into top trends.  Learn more about RTR from ECC’s past posts.
