The DC Metro area is the perfect place to find several special sales in the next seven days. There are sample sales, warehouse sales and rummage sales where you can find past season steals and gently used deals. Start contemplating your shopping strategy soon because some of these sales require advanced planning and ticket purchasing.
The sales start this Friday with not one, but two shopping events!
The Junior League of Baltimore is hosting their Spring Boutique Warehouse Sale with over 30 local boutiques. The sale starts Friday with a Girl’s Night Out Preview Party from 7-10pm. For $20 you get three hours of drinks, treats and you’ll be the first to shop the sale! Get your ticket in advance at the Junior League of Baltimore online. The Junior League of Washington is also hosting their 19th annual Tossed and Found Rummage Sale this weekend within the Crystal City Shops from Friday through Sunday. The sale will include gently used, donated items from fashion to furniture. With tens of thousands of items priced to move, you will not walk away empty handed. This is the kind of place you come to find something so unique whether it’s clothing or dishware. The sale is surrounded with other events starting with Diamonds and Desserts and Tossed to Fabulous with Interior Designer Matt Swingly on Thursday, a Preview Night and auction on Friday and children’s trunk show on Saturday. Finally, on Tuesday, March 29 is the District Sample Sale. $40 gets you general admission from 6:30-9:30pm to major savings from many local boutiques selling past season items for less. This sale is shorter so the shopping is more frantic, but the cocktails and apps make the chaos more fun.
