It may sound odd to purchase a winter coat in May, but that is when you are going to find a fantastic coat at its cheapest. A great way to save on clothes is to buy items when they are out-of-season. Just because you may not be able to wear something the day you buy it, does not mean you should pass up an exceptional deal. If you find shorts in October or sweaters in July think about whether or not what you find has staying power. Are you positive you will still like the item in three or four months when the seasons change? If so, go for it!
It is always best to buy out-of-season items that are classic, because they are always relevant and current. But if you adore a trend and will wear the piece whether it is still in or long gone, then why not buy it. Stores mark out-of-season items down to practically nothing. Of course, there is never a selection or multiple sizes when you find out-of-season items. It will be hit or miss, but I recommend always digging through the sale racks to see what is left from seasons past. Take advantage of these final sales and when the weather is right to wear your new out-of-season gems, it will be like going shopping all over again.

East Coast Chic (ECC) began as a fashion blog in 2010. I created ECC because the diversity of style on the East Coast is inspirational and endless. ECC allows me to share my favorite fashion thoughts and spots from my headquarters in Washington, DC, as well as other trend setting states along the East Coast and beyond.

My cousin recommended this blog and she was totally right keep up the fantastic work!
