The Antiques Garage is a Favorite Flea in NYC!

Kates Booth The Antiques Garage The Antiques Garage is a Favorite Flea in NYC! As an early birthday present, my husband surprised me with a weekend trip to my favorite city in the world, New York!  When I heard the news I immediately started researching where I have to shop during my short time there.

I, of course, had to make a stop at Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market (HKFM), my first flea market in NYC (which was major success).  Another must stop spot was The Antiques Garage in Chelsea.  This was my first time at The Antiques Garage, located at 112 West 25th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenues) and open 9-5 every Saturday and Sunday.  I learned about this beloved New York market from Flea Speech and I learned of Flea Speech when they gave ECC a shout out for its recent post on HKFM.

First, thanks to Flea Speech for the shout out!  Second, thanks to Flea Speech for what they do!  Not only do they keep us flea market fans up to date on the NYC’s top fleas , but they also hunt the country for other fabulous fleas!  When searching Flea Speech for their ECC mention, I learned about The Antiques Garage.  I made it a point to go to The Antiques Garage during my trip.  This was my number one stop of the weekend and I was not disappointed.  The Antique Garage is literally a two level parking garage filled with antiques of all sorts, including loads of vintage clothing, jewelry, handbags, shoes and more.  I spent hours visiting each of the booths.  Some expensive, some affordable, but all wonderful!  I walked away with oodles of jewelry starting at only $3 (seriously) up to only $21.  The $21 piece was my splurge for the day, which is unbelievable.  I also picked up a 100% silk black polka dot on black top for a mere $5.  This place was a dream spot for a day of vintage shopping!  I will be back for more next time I am in NYC (which I hope will be soon).
