A craving for some vintage shopping recently led me to DC’s U Street Corridor where I found Junction. Located at 1510 U St NW, Washington, DC 20009 Junction is a cute little garden level shop with a variety of very affordable vintage pieces.
The store and the contents were clean and in order, which makes for a relaxed shopping experience, especially since vintage can often be overwhelming. The items range from men and women’s clothing to accessories like belts, handbags, jewelry and sunglasses to super special household items like glassware and art. The store is simply decorated with its own inventory so you can continue to browse while in the dressing room.
Junction becomes even more unique when you look at the price tags which include helpful tips on how to wear each piece. Often on the high-end, high-priced or unknown labels, Junction takes the time to provide a brief background the on designer or era in which the item is from. The most exciting and most important information on the tags, however, is the price. You will have sticker shock, but in a positive way. In fact, every item I purchased was under $20!
Vintage shopping can be hit or miss, but whether you find something your first or every time at Junction it is a hit! The atmosphere, customer service, creative contents and prices will keep you coming back.
After Junction, also stop and shop at Treasury at 1843 14th St NW (between N Swann St & N T St) Washington, DC 20009 for more vintage variety.

East Coast Chic (ECC) began as a fashion blog in 2010. I created ECC because the diversity of style on the East Coast is inspirational and endless. ECC allows me to share my favorite fashion thoughts and spots from my headquarters in Washington, DC, as well as other trend setting states along the East Coast and beyond.
